Anime Jungle announced that Japanese actor Daisuke Ban will be appearing at the Nisei Week Festival in Los Angeles to sign autographs on August 14 and 15. Best known for his role as Jiro in the live-action series Kikaida (Jinzou Ningen Kikaida), Ban also appeared in several episodes of its sequel series Kikaider-01 and starred as the title character in the live-action series Inazuman.

Kikaida is a tale of good-versus-evil which pitted a guitar-playing, denim-clad biker named Jiro (Daisuke Ban) against DARK, a criminal organization bent on wreaking havoc upon the world. Kikaida would later be broadcast in Hawaii. Manga artist and writer Shotaro Ishinomori developed the original story for Kikaida and Kikaider-01, and he also created the Inazuma manga.

Nisei Week Festival is held each year in the Little Tokyo neighborhood of Los Angeles and will be held this year from August 14 to August 22.
