Bandai: '2nd Sanada Jyuu Yuushi Series' Was an ErrorBandai Channel revises its note about historical anime from Galactic Heroes staff. The Japanese streaming service Bandai Channel has
announced on Tuesday that it made an error in a July 30 email update when it said that "the anticipated second series [of Shinshaku Sengoku Eiyuu Densetsu Sanada Jyuu Yuushi The Animation] will premiere on television this October." Instead of that introductory note, Bandai Channel now says the update should have read, "the Sengoku [Warring States Era] anime epic from the Legend of the Galactic Heroes staff." Bandai Channel's website has already been
revised with the new text.
The first television series (and the prequel special that preceded it) aired in 2005. That earlier 13-episode series featured many of the staffers of Legend of the Galactic Heroes (Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu), including the character designer/chief animation director Keizo Shimizu and head writer Shimao Kawanaka. The story follows the Sanada clan of warriors who stand before the Tokugawa clan's attempt to control all of Japan.
