Manga creator Mayumi Azuma launched her new Toraneko Folklore series in the June issue of Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade magazine on Friday — just four months after she ended her Elemental Gelade (Erementar Gerad) fantasy series in the same magazine. The modern-day fantasy story of Toraneko Folklore centers around three freshmen who meet on the first day of high school in battle. Azuma drew a Toraneko Folklore poster for the issue.

Azuma is still continuing her Erementar Gerad: Flag of Bluesky spinoff manga in Monthly Comic Blade Avarus magazine. Tokyopop published the 11th volume of the main Elemental Gelade manga in North America this past February. Geneon licensed and released the television anime adaptation of the manga in North America, and Funimation re-issued the anime in a DVD box set in 2008.

In the same June issue , Eretto makes his Monthly Comic Blade debuted with a one-shot story called Yumemidokoro. In the fantasy story, a girl's dream world alter ego comes to life in the real world. Kadokawa streamed the anime adaptation of Eretto's Nyorōn Churuya-san manga with English subtitles on the YouTube website last year, and Crunchyroll announced last month that it will stream the anime.

In the July issue of Monthly Comic Blade on May 29, Sora Hiiragi will launch the Glory Road manga series based on a story by Dream Gold - Knights in the Dark City creator Tatsuro Nakanishi. In the story, the next emperor of the supernatural world is determined by battles with a set of 52 cards. In the same Monthly Comic Blade issue, Hōki Kusano is ending the Rorona no Atelier: Watashi no Takaramono manga based on Gust's Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland role-playing game, and Tomohiro Matsuoka and Aotoki Kurokō are ending The Silver Bullet of Magic (Mahō no Silver Bullet) magical battle fantasy manga.
