Satoshi Kubo reveals another adaptation of Bandai Namco's RPGs is being planned.

Animator Satoshi Kubo (Eureka Seven, Fullmetal Alchemist, Guin Saga) revealed on his mixi social networking service account that he refused work on a Super Robot Wars project, citing the involvement of "Ōbari-san." In his comment section, Kubo acknowledged that he is referring to another anime adaptation of Super Robot Wars, Bandai Namco's tactical simulation role-playing games with original robots
and robots from various anime franchises.

The most recent game in this 19-year-old franchise, Super Robot Wars OG Saga Masōkishin The Lord of Elemental (pictured at right), shipped in Japan in May. Atlus released three Super Robot Taisen Original Generation games in the United States.

The Super Robot Wars games have been adapted in anime several times already. Brains Base animated the Super Robot Wars: Original Generation - The Animation video series in 2005, and GENCO's Super Robot Wars OG Divine Wars television series followed in 2006. Bandai Visual USA licensed both projects in North America. Ashi Productions also animated Cybuster, an original robot design from the game franchise, into a 1999 television anime series. Geneon Entertainment (USA) Inc. licensed this anime in North America.
