The wraparound jacket band on the 10th volume of Norio Sakai's Mitsudomoe manga has announced this month that a second season had been green-lit. Animator Satoshi Kubo (Eureka Seven, Fullmetal Alchemist, Guin Saga) had indicated on his mixi social networking service account last Tuesday that Mitsudomoe will run for one kūru (one quarter of a year), go on hiatus for another kūru, and then run again for a second kūru. The 10th anime episode just aired last week.

Kubo had previously revealed on his mixi account that there would be a new Super Robot Wars anime project (later announced as Super Robot Taisen OG: The Inspector), as well as a project called A Channel.

Update: The back of the wraparound jacket band confirms that the second season will start in January of 2011.
