Director Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Moetan, Zettai Karen Children) revealed on the Nico Nico Douga streaming website's live Toriaezu Namachū program on Thursday that work has begun on a side story to the Kowarekake no Orgel dōjin (self-published) anime project from Moetan illustrator POP. Kawaguchi also indicated that another guest on the program, Yuka Iguchi (Toaru Majutsu no Index, IDOLM@STER: XENOGLOSSIA), is voicing the new character whose rough designs he previewed on the program.
POP designed and supervised the original Kowarekake no Orgel anime about an unsuccessful musician and the mysterious girl who ends up living with him. The long-delayed full version of the first project shipped in a limited first edition and a special limited edition on December 31.
In a separate development, Tokyo expatriate blogger Danny Choo revealed on Saturday that he "set up an anime production studio called 'Mirai Fusion.'" One of the studio's two current titles has Choo's mascot character Mirai-chan, and the studio is producing a promotional video. Choo posted a preview image with Mirai-chan and another character named Chinka-chan on Thursday.
